For the last 3 days in China, I went back and forth from ShenZhen to Hong Kong. Everyday, I spent 4 hours traveling. 2 hours for one way trip.
- 50mins to to the train station in ShenZhen
- 20mins running across the customs and border
- a good 50mins to get to the center of Hong Kong
The river that separates Hong Kong and China. I hate crossing the boarder because of all the forms I have to fill out.
The first day was a stop at Mong Kok. Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to shop around as I arrived there quite late. I quickly ran through my list of places for anime goods.
This place has a lot of games and cellphones.
Ahhh Sino Centre. This mall is huge. Huge meaning tall. Unfortunately each level isn’t big, so it will get crowded easily. From top to bottom it is filled with anime goods and collectibles. I only got up as far as floor 7 because that is as high up as the escalators can take you. There are at least 20 floors, I think. For the rest, you must take the elevator.
The bottom and top few floors of CTMA Centre has some good stuff.
Across is Animate.
I only bought two anime figures in Mong Kok. Got some sweet deals. Bargaining rules!
Keroro Gunso!
Trying to find the closest train station, do I trust the English or the Chinese? Damn, I shouldn’t have trusted their English.
The following day I walked around Victoria Harbour.
video management, video solution, video streamingThe wind is huge.
RIP Anita Mui
Yuen Wo Ping - the baddest fight choreographer ever
RIP Bruce Lee
Hong Kong is a kickass city. The train fare is expensive though.

1subway means underground passageway in hk dumbass (unless of course you were trying to be “funny”) haha. you should have used your traditional chinese skills while you still could in hk and read it, no more simplified!
makes me want to go back so much… even if the people look pissed all the time.
