I don’t have jetlag! The flight back home felt a lot faster. Well, I was watching movies non-stop on the flight.
Ok, while I was queuing at my flight gate in HK airport, I had to go through many security checks. Two HK border securities asked me questions, and as I handed my ticket through the gate, a Canadian Border security asked me questions. I was the only one being asked. But, I figured it was because I am one of the few younger passengers and also travelling alone.
Here is a post of my thoughts on my LONG vacation.
Don’t worry, there are tons of pictures that I haven’t posted before. I will post my China adventures later.
I mentioned that locals in Taiwan would easily recognize that I am not from around here. When I went to TaiChung, a girl thought I was Japanese. Just yesterday, another girl thought I was Japanese. Then my cousin’s girlfriend says that I do resemble a bit like Japanese or Korean. Hummm….
Anyways, this will be my last post before I leave for China tomorrow.
My aunt took me out to Miaoli, which is located inbetween Taipei and TaiChung. We took the bus and the ride was longer than I expected; 2 hours of sleeping and another 2 hours back.
Having no internet sucks. I am behind by 1 day.
Speaking of technology, my camera is taking a beating during my vacation. It is all scratched up and I can hear popping noise whenevever I squeezing my camera. But nothing is wrong interally. I don’t remember if I mentioned this, but I bought a spare battery for my camera two weeks before my vacation. And, I only used it a couple times before I accidently left it in my pants for the washer. I think I only had to change batteries twice. Great use of $6.

I left for Fuzhong station where you can find Lin family mansion and garden.
Another hot sunny day in Taipei. Today I visited two places.
Now, whenever I take public transportation, I wear a mask to protect myself. I hate when people cough and don’t cover their mouth.
Another rainy day. It has been pouring every morning for the past few days.
After I ate lunch, my aunt took me to National Palace Museum. The museum contains a lot of sculptures and artworks from different dynasties. The only thing that I was more interested was the Buddha section as I have taken some courses on Buddhist art.
I just realized that all of my posts titled as Taiwan are wrong. Actually, they should have been labelled as Taipei to be more exact.
Instead of typing a post of each day, I decided to make 1 big post of my stay in Kaohsiung. Unfortunately, unlike TaiChung, I stayed in Kaohsiung longer and have visited more places. So, expected A LOT of pictures and my stories.
I took the Ubus from TaiChung to Kaohsiung. It is so much cheaper than taking the rail. And, it also takes the same time too! But then leaving Kaohsiung to Taipei, I will take the rail. I need a washroom!
Seriously, my grandmother is so annoying. As I am currently travelling by myself, she keeps calling me and lecturing me. I am like, I went Japan by myself, and Taiwan is nothing as I can speak mandarin.
Everyday, literally, I MUST buy myself a Milk Tea with tapioca. Bubble Tea is so cheap in Taiwan. I get a medium Milk tea with tapioca and it only costs $1 CDN.
The first day I arrived in Taichung, it started raining HARD.
