    spam >_<

    January 28, 2010 // 2 Comments »

I was taking a look at the comments that got filtered into spam from blog, and they gave me a chuckle.

The funniest one was from the blog post Garage Kit 加油, payday loans wrote: “The author of trixoptics.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: Waiting for an ATM is much more frustrating than waiting for a bus Thanks for the info.”

Yup….and speaking of spam, just recently my dad ran to my room and gave me this mail labeled as “First and Final Notice Immediate Action Requested” and has the mailing address under my name. I was like, “okay…am I already in debt at my age?”

As soon as I opened it, guess what it is?

    starting off the new year

    January 5, 2010 // 3 Comments »

Wow, can you say that I haven’t blogged for quite some time?  Well, the main reasons were work and studying for my test that I had yesterday.

Alrighty, let’s start off with 2010, and damn, what a horrible start.   I went to work to check out my schedule and found out my name wasn’t listed.  That’s right, I got booted from work as my contract ended.  I was 200% sure that I would have stayed even after my contract ended, but what can you do when your supervisor hates on you.  The guy is a prick.  Yo bro, why the hate?

That kinda sucked as I was planning to buy a 46″ tv.

    And a random note:

Guess how much I paid for NHL 09? $0.27 before tax!  I didn’t like the game and sold it online. haha…

    platinum

    November 19, 2009 // 3 Comments »

I have been posting quite slowly now because I have been trying to obtain all the trophies for Uncharted 2.  And guess what?  I have acquired my PLATINUM!!! Oh baby! My first platinum.   I feel like going back to all my games and start collecting trophies.  This has to impress the chicks.

“Hey sexy, I an involved in a variety of extracurricular activities.  Want to see my trophies?” *shows my awesome virtual PS3 trophies*

*starts flexing* “Yeah, see that platinum right there?”

    Kotobukiya - Flonne

    November 2, 2009 // 1 Comment »

It has been quite awhile since my last photoshoot.  I am going to start off with the cheapest PVC figure that I bought during my vacation, Kotobukiya’s Flonne.

The price I paid for this figure in Japan, 1000 yen.  However, it was second hand, then again, 1000yen (~$12CDN)!  Surprisingly I was hesitant and decided to think about it overnight.  You are hearing this from a guy who constantly blew out 2000yen for a single trip to a maid cafe.  What can you get for $12 here in Canada?  1 trading figure…  Wait, perhaps not because of tax.  Oh how I miss the days in Asia with no tax and tips.

    Backyard Animals

    August 7, 2009 // 2 Comments »

Today I saw a rabbit in my backyard for the first time!  I quickly ran in to grab my camera and took some shots.

When I got closer the rabbit ran behind my compost.

I also saw a squirrel.  It is common to find them, but this one was lying on the wooden fence. It is so cute.  At first the head was facing sideways which looked a lot cuter, but I guess the squirrel sensed me coming near.

    Playing with airsoft gun

    August 5, 2009 // 6 Comments »

Oh man, what a sad day.  For the first time, I went to a different place to get my hair cut and I got the worst haircut in ages.  I am such a fool for cheaping out.

Anyways, my friend came over to lend me his airsoft gun for me to test it out.  Once he left, I had another friend in my room so we went to my backyard to shoot some stuff.

    The joys of selling online

    July 24, 2009 // 2 Comments »

I prefer selling stuff locally by using online classifieds, such as Craigslist, Kijiji, or RedFlagDeals.  It saves a lot of trouble wrapping up items and paying shipping.  But sometimes you got to resort selling outside of your city for more exposure.   That is where eBay or other forums come in.

I hate paying eBay and Paypal fees. Such a pain in the ass.  Luckily for eBay, for every 30 days you can post 5 free listings!  Sweet! Time to start posting random crap I don’t need.  Depending on the item, I usually have a starting price of $0.99.   To come up with a shipping cost, I just pull out any random number from my ass.  Usually I set a low shipping price to make my listings attractive.   But, wouldn’t I lose money on the item if I set a low shipping cost and starting bid?

That is where my mom comes in.  Instead of buying postage from the Postal Office, I use stamps.  The answer: my mom gets stamps from work.  If anyone bought something off me, then that answers your question to why the box was covered with stamps.  Sometimes the costs of shipping is greater than the total amount of the item sold, LOL.

I don’t spend on packing materials since when I order stuff online, I just reuse the materials.  Only thing I have to buy is tape.  Whatever, I just go to the dollar store and buy a roll for $1 +tax.

Additionally if I have to ship smaller items, I get packing envelopes for free from my friend who takes them from work.

eBay is usually my last resort, or when I sell stuff that is hard to sell locally or elsewhere.  Do you sell stuff online?

    “Mom! I need more stamps!”

    Garage Kit 加油

    July 16, 2009 // 7 Comments »

I have been so unmotivated to do anything right now.  I am just waiting for September.

Today I decided to start working on my last garage kit.  I know ahead of time that I will definitely mess up the face.  It is so small.

    My week

    June 27, 2009 // 1 Comment »

The other day I was at Chapters and was looking through the magazine section.  I saw Lyoto Machida on the cover of Fight Sport.  Since he is my favourite fighter, I ended up buying the magazine.  I didn’t read through the whole magazine yet, but I can say that they need someone to proofread it.
