After Beijing, I went to a new city called, Da Tong. To think I have already encountered many douchebags, this city and its people sets a new benchmark for douchebaggery.
In addition, if I remembered correctly, I was “sick” when I stayed in this city. Just coughs, no fever. So, everything I ate tastes like salt.
This is a city that no one follows the law. To think there is a city worst than ShenZhen…
From the pictures you can tell how empty and unfinished the city is. I don’t even know how to cross the road at an intersection. There aren’t any crossing lines for pedestrians, nor traffic lines. Even the traffic lights are messed up.
Yungang Grottoes was one of my favourite sights in China. As I mentioned before that I have taken Buddhist Art classes in university, and we covered a lot of pictures and history of Yungang Grottoes.
open source video, online video platform, video solutionI would post the pictures in sequential order by cave number, but I have way too many pictures and would take me forever to post them up.
Cave 6 is the highlight of Yungang Grottoes. It contains many stories of Sakyamuni’s (later known as Gautama Buddha) life. In addition, we are not allowed to take pictures or record footage. You can’t believe how many times I was told to not take pictures.
And lastly to piss off China even more, a video of cave 6.
open source video, online video platform, video solutionHaving one battery for my camera sucks. I have to be considerate when I take pictures.
There are approximately 40 caves, but don’t assume each cave is huge. Some are huge and some are the size of boxes.
The food that Da Tong is famous for are rabbit heads and knife cut noodles. Too bad every food tasted salty with the cold I had.
Everytime I spell “rabbit”, I feel like spelling “Rabbid”. Damn you Raving Rabbids!

2Chinamen “act” tough. If you talk back to them, they can’t do jack.
