Taipei – Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Dahu Park
Another hot sunny day in Taipei. Today I visited two places.
Now, whenever I take public transportation, I wear a mask to protect myself. I hate when people cough and don’t cover their mouth.
The first stop was Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

In the Memorial Hall, there are 2 soldiers standing. They rotate every hour. It must have been hot standing there without moving.
Hey! Someone comes to fan them and wipe their sweat.

Next stop was Dahu park. This place is the worst place ever to find a drink. I had to walk a friggen FAR distance to find myself a convenience store to buy a drink.
While on the train, it passed by Taiwan’s first 100m ferris wheel. I might visit here. I have been here 3 years ago, but I lost all my pictures. If I have time, I will visit.

Stone massage. It was painful and was burning my feet.
Now I headed to the hiking trail. Omg, it is so far! It is at the end of Dahu park, and trust me, it was a LONG walk.
After I bought a drink, I went hiking. There are labels to tell you the distance. Once I started I saw 1600 meters. I was like, OMFG. Dude…1600m to the top? Wth, I came this far, I will do it.It
It was a tiring walk as it was hot, and I was sweating all over.
Once I got to 900m, I was at the top. So 1600m means from walking one end to the other end, not from bottom to top. That scared me.
Back in Dahu station there is a hair salon. 100 NT (approx $3.33 cdn) for a 10min haircut.

There is a border that you cant cross in the Hall.

10this whole thing about mask while im thinking wow ferris wheel *dreaming – sight seeing* lol how long does it take you to get to 900m? and the stone massage, I guess u r not healthy =P I heard that if you are, it shouldn’t hurt. and one more thing, i like ur pic of the duck cleaning, itz perfect. =D i tried to take a pic of my hamster, I’m like holding him down just trying to take a pic =_= he won’t stop moving.

@Argyle: I think I am at half way now. I might cut my vacation short.
@PT: 900m was probably 15-20mins. I was rushing up while crazily sweating.
And taking picture is easy. Just take multiple shots. What I do, is press the focus first and whatever cool happens I click. But then again, if you are indoors, I guess the shutter speed won’t be fast enough.
