Kotobukiya – Mirei-san

While transferring pictures to my new blog, there were some photoshoots that I did not like.  But, only a couple.  I decided to start off with Shunya Yamashita’s design of Mirei-san.  This is one of my first few figures that I own, and still the best figure produced from Shunya’s illustrations.

First off, you know that this isn’t any anime styled character. This is one of many beautiful female illustrations from Shunya Yamashita. You are able to recognize this is a work by Shunya when you see his female designs have more of a proportional body and a realistic look. What I love about them is their seductive eyes.

The figure comes with a cast-off option. You can switch her hair style, either up or down. I prefer her hair up. In addition, you can switch her right arm position, either up holding a pen or down resting in her thigh. I prefer her arm to be up and holding the pen. Creates more of a sexy look.

I have to give Kotobukiya credit as this figure is well sculpted.  In my books, Kotobukiya more of a benchmark manufacturer.  You won’t find any seam lines, and it just looks amazing as it looks exactly like its illustration. Another point is that this figure does not have a flat ass or a peg for her to sit on her chair. Meaning it is a whole figure and not ruined by flattening her ass just for her to sit on the chair. How does she sit in her chair then? The seat on the chair has a mold of her ass, which you can place Mirei-san on her chair with ease. Btw, the chair is also nicely sculpted. The wheels do not spin or turn, but you can spin the seat around.
