Yamato – Kanu Uncho

This is my first figure in my collection and still one of my favourites. I remember back in the day when I was watching “Ikki Tousen” and Kanu was hot and amazing. While browsing on the net, I saw Yamato’s Kanu figure and I WANT IT! I think mine is the first batch of Yamato’s Kanu, which I assume is petty rare now? But you do see a shit load of colour variants which doesn’t look as good as the original.

Production

This is the worst quality figure I have. The quality and paint job sucks. There are huge visible seams lines all over the place. The painting is uneven and it is just all over the place. It’s like a kid struggling to colour in between the lines. The PVC is ugly as it is shiny and it gives a plastic feel to the figure.

However, this figure looks nice from a distance. From a distance its like, damn this is so cool and sexy. But once you look up close its like, damn wtf kind of craftsmanship is this.

Overall, in terms of representation, this is the best old school Kanu Unchou figure and probably still one of the best in the new school Kanu Unchou figures. There is only 1 new school Kanu figure that I want, which is Alter’s but I stay by my rule of only collecting 1 figure per character. Anyways, I still prefer Kanu’s old school look as she looks a lot cooler and mature. The new school character designs only make everyone look a lot sexier.

I really like the school girl outfit with the mini skirt and loose socks. Looks hot. lol.
