Toynami – Emily the Strange

Emily the Strange – Chairman of the Board Maquette. This is a limited edition statue with only 1300 released worldwide. I have no idea who Emily is, but I bought this because I thought it was cute.

This is a hand painted resin statue, so it is a lot heavier than PVC figures. Took me a while to get the lighting I wanted. But, it could have been better. I wanted to have some light on the face, but yet I don’t want glare off the figure.

The only ugly part of this statue is her left hand. You can see bubbles. Everything else is very clean and sharp. Well, it IS a pretty simple figure to paint.

I really like this statue. Looks neat. It brings in something new and different to display in my case.

I suppose these are her pet cats? I like the one with this face like X .-     After watching some cute cat videos, I want a cat, lol

Overall, this is a very cute gothic and emo-ish? figure. The chair kinda reminds me of the one from The Matrix. I suppose if you are an Emily the the Strange fan, this is a very cool statue. There are some new statues coming out but it is only a bust of her.
