At first I was not really fond of the tortuous face for this figure but after seeing some pictures, it wasn’t too bad. I would still prefer a normal smiling face from Mikuru. As you can see, Mikuru is wearing a maid uniform which you would see her wearing in the home movie filmed by SOS Dan. The pose of the figure is when Mikuru is using her signature move, Mikuru Beam, by posing a peace sign over her eye.

Her expression on the figure shows some nervousness as if she was forced into making the movie. Just like the presentation of Max Factory’s Haruhi Suzumiya, this figure shows a lot of personality of Mikuru.

    Production

The production is a lot better than Haruhi Suzumiya. You don’t see any seam lines and the paintjob is neat and clean. However, you do see overlapping of the white paint for the lines on her headband. My copy has an ugly patch of paint on her left arm. It looks like the paint wasn’t flattened down so then it just sticks out. It is very ugly. I don’t know if you can see from the pictures, but I think you can make out like a lump of paint on her left arm.

Overall, it depends if this figure is for you. If you are like me, who doesn’t buy duplicate characters and wants to have the complete set of TMOHS Max Factory line, then you should buy it. If not, then it just depends if you want a normal looking Mikuru or a tortuous face Mikuru, or why not just get them all.

It seems to me that this figure is a leaner from pictures other owners have posted. However, I have displayed mine for about 8 months and have not shown the single slightest hint that it is leaning.
